Default can i plug first hd into sata 2 port?

I would like to move my hard drive cable to the sata2 port because of space issues, can it be done without any problems?

Is that HDD EIDE or SATA?

If your moving the SATA drive to a different port, I don't believe it will cause a problem. The only time i may cause issues is if you have a RAID array set up.
