I keep photos in their own folder on c drive and have that folder backed up onto a second hardrive and also an external drive. I open the photos up in photoshop CS and add effects and edit the colour to add a bit more glamour to them. Photos that have been edited are saved into a folder called edited you should always save an original un altered photo because as time goes on you get better at editing and it's best to start with the original.
