Default packard bell windows xp?

i have a packard bell with windows 98 on it and a amd processor. i have a win. xp disc can i install it. will give more specs when i get home! plz help me out. (iam at school right now)

ok so it has a amd K6 2 3d now the sticker says, the hard drive i think and thats a big think is 10 gb? is's running 98. now my dad's comp.( the one iam on now) is running xp and its designed for windows 89/2000 with a pentium 3 and 20 gb hard drive so idk?

If it's running on another computer, that's illegal

It'll work. I have XP Pro SP2 on a 166MHz...

128MB minimum... It should probably have that much... so it depends... answer this question:

Did you previously install this OS on another system?

i got the windows xp disc when a local comp shop went out of busness so no its sealed and never been used. i just got this comp from somebody who hardly knows how to use one so i don't think he changed anything?
