When I select STANDBY, my computer will go on standby for about 5 mins until it automatically starts back up displaying this message
--------------------------- Windows - System Error --------------------------- Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- What should I do, how can I fix this problem? |

It could be an out-dated BIOS, or maybe a RAM issue (not enough).
When you Standby, all of your data is stored in RAM, and the System cuts power to everything but that, so if you have more info trying to be saved, it will run out of memory and give an error. Try using Hibernate. Hibernate works similar, but it saves whatever is in RAM to the HDD, then cuts power. If Hibernate will work for you when Standby won't, then you'll need more RAM.

Newest BIOS?
All Windows Updates applied? Disk Defragmented (yes, it helps)? Does Hibernate work, or same issue? When did problem start?
