Default Samsung 226BW 22" LCD

I’m thinking about getting the Samsung 226BW 22” lcd after Christmas but when I was reading some of the reviews it was talking about some of them are s panel and c panel and a few other different panels. Whats the difference in all these different panels for this lcd ?

Thanks guys

Apparently the "S" panel is made by Samsung and some say superior to the "L" panel which is a Samsung made by a third party (made by Chi Mei)

I'm getting that as well. Apparently, the different "panels" have different qualities. Apparently, the S panel is the best, however when I read a review about the different panels, the differences are relatively negligible. Try to get the "S" Panel if you can, if you can't don't worry to much about it.

I'll try to find that review.

EDIT: This one really goes in depth.

Negligible?

You decide. That's an "A" on the left and an "S" on the right. This "in-depth" review only acknowledges those two (A and S), which are the best of the three you might receive. You could also get a "C," which is said to be the worst of the bunch. "C" panels are made by Chi Mei; there's no such thing as an "L."

I've seen all of these in person. The "don't worry about it too much" idea won't last too long, unless you genuinely don't care about your monitor's image quality.

Ya you might be right. That article I linked (here) describes how to check which version you get. If you decid to get it anyway, be sure to check. I will do that too. Thanks fortyways, I'll be more carefull about the 226BW...

Another article on checking panel version.
