Default AMD duel V.S AMD quad

is the AMD Phenom 9500(2.2GHZ) that mutch better than the AMD athlon64x2 6000+(3.0GHZ) is it worth the extra $150

The 6000+ would outperform the quad in single threaded apps i presume, but once thigns are optimized for quads, the qaud will outperform the 6000+.

However there is no reason to buy an amd quad, because they are poor compared to intels line up, and they have issues with their L3 cache

AMD are going to improve their quad due to the fact there were a lot of... let's just say mistakes. So, if I were you, I'll wait for the quad core, or buy a 6000+ which is a very very good cpu and wins the quad easily. Or if you have the money try to get the 6400+
