I was reading this PC World 2002 Magazine, and there was a questoin from a reader of:

They Received a Reply of:

In earlier versions of Windows, you could stop the spalsh screen with a simple setting on the Boot tab of microsofts downloadable freebie Tweek UI.

Oddly enough, When you bring up tweek UI. The Boot Tab has now disappeared.

What can you do about it?

One Solution is to Press <Esc> Key as soon as screen appears as this will innitiate Microsofts built in secret coding on certain PC's

Last time i checked there was no option for this!

PC World is one of the worst computer magazines available. Every month, it seems, they have the same "Optimize your PC!" feature, and their responses to readers' questions are also worthless - as your example points out.

haha, yeh, PC World arent exactly the most reliable when it comes to facts... just dont ever buy a PC from there and you'll be fine
