I'm thinking about upgrading and was wondering if there is there a phone that looks nice and has cool features and stuff?
I like sliding phones with qwerty keyboards but also like loads of features. I saw the Nokia N95 black 8gb which doesn't look that good but seems good performance wise. I like touch screen but that is not necessary as probably only on iphone and stuff thats not available in ireland. Can someone suggest a phone that looks good and is good? Thanks

I like phones that you can actually call people with. If I want internet I will use my computer, if I want an MP3 player I will buy one and if I want to text someone I will use yahoo chat. I think its just getting plain ridiculous how much crap they put in phones now days. Back on topic I think your best bet is to go to a cell phone store and compare them for yourself that way you can find one that has all the features you need/want and also hold it to your ear and see if it feels good while you are talking on it. Functionality should be at the top of your list instead of looks. A few years ago I bought this little tinny phone because I thought it looked good and it was compact but when I actually talked on it the thing sucked big time, it was hard to tell where to hold it against your ear to hear people because it was so small and flat.

Ok, I might try that. I was thinking of buying one on ebay. If I was to buy an unlocked one on ebay, would that mean that it will work with any sim card.

A lot of Blackberry devices have lots of features and options, but they aren't cheap. Most can access the internet, play MP3's, get e-mail, watch movies, etc.
http://www.discoverblackberry.com/ The Sidekick 3 slides and is full QWERTY, has internet capabilities and e-mail. http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/...3-d6904503dc71 T-Mobile Wing - http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/...f-9c7b8ec1b1e0 I'm fairly certain you can get any of these phones unlocked, but it's not cheap. If you're buying without a contract on eBay or Amazon then be prepared to spend $300-500 on an unlocked version.

Blackberry users can use their phone as a modem free of charge however. I know several of my friends use them in there cars hooked to their laptops for maps/directions, etc. No problems so far. Quote:
Also make note of what provider you get the phone from/for. Different providers have different "versions" of the same phone. Take the Blackberry curve for example. The T-Mobile version has built-in Wifi, the Cingular/At&T version DOES NOT. BOO! I believe the models are 8120 and 8130, however they look identical on the outside.

Every since i bought a palm treo, i won't buy anything else. There are thousands of sweet apps and mods for them. And are touch screen. The Treo 750 is windows mobile, but IMO palm OS is alot better. Depending on your service as to what model would be for you.
I personally have owned the treo 650 and 680, im currently using the 680 (red). Ill never own another blackberry. Oh and the treo 680 has a SDHC memory card slot, so you can buy any size SD card for music and movies, apps or whatever..
