Default Newegg Sucks

I'm so pissed!!! I ordered a 3850 but it was DOA RMA'd it they said one day shipping, that was flipping WEDNESDAY, guess what today is? Damn it I was so excited about having a computer that actually had a gpu I almost pissed my pants, now I gotta go through all this shit to get it working!!!

Rant over.

I actually do have a question, should I wait a coupple more days or call them demanding I get it for free because they're taking their sweet time about it?

i would at least call them to find out about it.
it may be 1 day shipping, but that doesn't mean its gotten shipped out yet. they probably will inspect the card to make sure its actually dead and has no physical damage first. besides that, the card could be out of stock or they could just be backed up due to it being close to christmas.

Exactly, I have never had a problem with newegg, and have spent over $6,000 there in 120 transactions I have noticed it is slower at Christmas, but that is to be expected.

How did you ship it? If you shipped in UPS ground from the east coast, it'll take 5 business days to get to California. Then Newegg needs to process it and ship out the new one, which will be 1 day shipping.

Exactly what I was going to say. They don't ship the new card out until they receive and examine the DOA card, so if you shipped it via USPS Ground it could take up to 5 days, or 3-4 days for USPS Priority Mail.

As for the card, what was wrong with it exactly? Did it not output anything to the monitor? Did you make sure you connected any type of external power (if applicable)?

Ok, Newegg does NOT suck I was just pissed because I was too excited.

To clarify, the card was DOA so the agent I talked too said I would get a refund and she was shipping a new card immediatly, she also upgraded the shipping to one day and said it would be here Friday. I recieved full documentation of the RMA via e-mail, but absolutly zip about the new card. I talked to another agent just now and he said that there was absolutly no trace of a card being shipped to me, just the RMA. He said I would get a refund for the RMA when they recieve the package and if I want a new one to ordere it.

That's odd, I've never known Newegg to ship out a card before receiving the defective one. My guess is maybe there was a misunderstanding with the agent, and that she meant to say she would ship it out immediately after receiving the defective one.

What my friend did was he ordered a new one (processor in this case), and then had the money refunded to him so he didn't have to wait a week for the RMA to go through and have it shipped back.

In your situation however I would call them up and get everything straightened out, then figure out if the new one is already on it's way or in progress before buying another one.

Im happy with Newegg so far. I've done about 15 transactions and they have all arrived on the 3rd business day as guaranteed. Also I haven;t experienced any DOA's
