Default I want to upgrade my Ram but i need help

I want to upgrade my Ram on my Dell Dimension 2400 but im not really sure what ExactRam to use i think either DDR PC2700 or PC3200 im not sure and i would like to know

Help would be Greatly appreciated!

The documentation on that model is seen at http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...m_en/specs.htm The specifications there point at PC2100 and PC2700 with the 333mhz fsb for that model.

Crucial.com has an online software tool that will automatically scan your system and tell you which type you need, can buy, and what your motherboard will support.

It's a great tool.

The link there is for Sata II controller cards. oops!

The manufacturer's support site is always the best place to go especially on prebuilt systems where you don't the model or make and model board. HP has far better in that direction by providing information on their models while Dell likes to hide things requiring you to go through them.

Don't feel bad. Lately I've had some fun at the Asus support site where you click on one model and see the page for another when trying to look over specifications on a board! That's why you have to open the link as soon as you post it to see if the right page is seen at times. I know the feeling...
