Default iPod Nano - 2nd generation (volume?)

Hey, i've got a iPod nano which is 2nd generation and is 4gb. There is a thing on itunes where you can adjust the volume to make it louder or quiet(this works on some iPods) but on the nano it doesnt work, because the volume has been capped so it cant go really loud. Does anyone know of a way to hack this to make the volume be able to go alot louder as i cant really hear it on the subway because of all the noise around me.
Thanks

I hear you, but do you know what I'm talkin about? They cancel out ambient aka background noise (some better than others coughcoughbosecoughcough). Meaning you hear less noise around you, and you don't need to turn the volume up all the way, which is better for your hearing. They work particularly well where constant noises are present (e.g. in a an airplane). I guess they would give good results in the subway. BUT they cost a lot.

But to answer your original question, no, I don't know how to, but think the maximum volume set by default is already loud enough and searching for another solution might be better for your hearing.

on the iPod you go into the settings and somewhere in the volume settings there is a setting that defines the max volume output you can change that and put a pass code but you do not have to. I'm sorry isf i cant help you because its been a while since my iPod worked:-(
