That's for higher end cards... In my view, it's a waste. Too much hassle and issues...

Yes. Crossfire = ATI, SLi = nVidia. Some motherboards can take both...

i guess ill just have to tough it out for a about a month till i can upgrade to a 8800gt then longer down the road get another haha.

Yeah... just don't get 2 GT's... get a Ultra or 9800 if you're gonna get a 2nd card... those will smoke the GT

9800? when is that coming out or has it already came out? i hope the price on the 8800 go down after xmas cuz they are really expensive. im not gonna get a new mobo for a ATI cuz then i would have to get a new well alot of stuff haha.

Feb I think. 8800 should go down... but not much. They'll go down when the 9800's come out... Wonder if Crysis will be able to be maxed out?

Meh, Crysis was made for the next gen. cards.

The lowest priced 8800 is the 256MB version, but that's around a HD3850's performance, so the best bang for the buck would be the HD3870...

ok i got my pc and its great. i just got done playing some crysis with it on low settings and res at 1280x1024 and it was smooth. the game is amazing and i cant wait to upgrade my vid card and get more RAM to enjoy it fully. i got 2 gig of RAM coming my way so that will put me at 3g total.
