Default Which RAM works in ASUS motherboards?

I have been reading about ASUS motherboards and how they don't run well with all brands and types of memory that should work in them.

I have read that Mushkin brand random access memory works well in ASUS motherboards. Anyone have any experience with ASUS motherboards and memory that tends to work well in them?

The problem with Asus boards and ram is that Asus does not always detect the correct settings for the ram, so it tries to boot using the wrong voltages and timings. If you go into the bios and set the ram timings and such manually, just about any ram will work fine.

Im using G.Skills for my ASUS Crosshair. I had to adjust the voltage to get the correct timings.
