Default AMD Processor

I am planning on purchasing an AMD 6400+ black edition processor from newegg.com. Do you think that is an overkill, and if it it what do you recommend?

Q6600 G0 if possible. Maybe E6750? Depends basically on you. AMD or Intel fan?

It's no where near overkill if you're a gamer, although if you were a gamer then I'm sure you would have chosen a Core 2 Duo anyways...

It could be overkill is all you do is surf the web reading news or if just use Word... So, overkill is a term that depends on the use you plan to make.

Which is why I said it wouldn't be overkill if you're a gamer
