You don't have to change anything in the system registry to download the SP3 RC1 seen at the link there or for any other MS update. For a fresh installation or reinstall of Windows you first have to see the Genuine Advantage tool installed following the activation of Windows before being allowed to download anything from the link there or at the update site.

lol i realise that now.

the i changed it so windows update thought i was a tester person and allowed me to downlaod it that way.

i hadnt realised that they had just realeased it for everyone

hermeslyre made a good catch there since that was only in developers beta form until MS feels that it can be made available publicly with the warning that it's not the final version at this time. In other words,
