I'll preface this first by saying that I am a complete Access noob and I haven't made a file on it in years so it would be greatly beneficial to me if any help given were posted in clear numbered steps assuming I know nothing.
So far I've converted an old 97 .mdb file into an 07 .accdb file and everything appeared to work fine but there are still a few lingering issues. When I try to enter information into 'Address' or 'Fax Number' it says at the bottom "Control can't be edited; it's bound to unknown field 'Address'." Here's a thumbnail screenshot: ![]() Any help is greatly appreciated!! |

when it's bound to an unknown field it means that data cannot be entered because there's no such field.
Open up your tables in design view and see if there's actually a field called "Address" and "fax number" it there is then probably the relationship got broken. or you can alternatively add those 2 fields, then open your form go in design view and add them from there
