I recently had to put in a new hard drive and reformat my desktop computer. In the process of getting things reloaded and put back to "normal" I am having a problem with my screensaver program. I dont remember my computer doing this before. Anyway whenever my screensaver is running and then I touch a key or move the mouse the monitor seems to shut off (1-2 seconds) then right back on. Instead of simply switching back to my start page. Do I not have something set up right? Can the monitor resolution setting cause this?
Thanks, tbfoto |

With ATI cards that would be typical of the vpu recovery feature where the desktop or open window reappears after a quick black screen when unloading anything using the display. Sometimes adjusting the screen refresh rate will help along those lines. If you are set at the default 60hz try 70 and 75hz to see if the problem remains.
