I played an old dvd that basically had alot of dust on it, no scratches but alot of dust that i just couldn't get off. My console made alot of noise while playing it due to the really bad quality i guess...my old ps2 and pc couldnt read it.. but now i almost think I hear the dvd drive making more noise now on any piece of media in there...not sure though.
This is the first time i played this movie..probebly wont again, but I want to know if a dvd drive noise output permenantly becomes louder and more apparent after playing a really bad condition dvd? ..I cant help but shake the feeling that my console may or may not be emitting more noise then before i played this crummy conditioned dvd. DVD should make more noise while playing right? older tech..more noise? |

My old PS2's did this. I'd play a really screwed disc and the DVD-drive would slowly take a down-ward turn. It would soon become unplayable. I dunno why, I dunno if this issue is prevalent in PS3's, But I know I had 3+ Ps2's and they all died from disc drive/laser problems. :\
