Okay I know I am a dumb*&%, but I accidently changed something possibly with my windows task manager processes. Now when I log on to my user acct nothing will load. (ex. task bar and start menu, desktop icons) Is there anyway to reverse or to restart? I know sometimes there is! Please help!

To many things but heres an option that can work.

start
programs
assessories
system tools
system restore (to earlier date.

I will always say its a good idea to have more than one profile like Admin and Admin1. it can give you a way out if your profile gets corrupted. you can delete the old and create another if sheeet happens.

If ya have need to then reboot if nothing else works. tap the 'F8' key until the menu and start up in safe mode with the options above.

Well I don't have access to my start menu. I am still trying to navigate through the system via ctrl alt delete. Then I select run new program then browse. I will give each of these a chance. Something else I have noticed. "my computer" icon is not showing. It's got that generic lil page icon. Could I have deleted something that could have to do with that and caused these probs? Be back as soon as I try some new stuff!

Oh btw I don't have an xp cd. My dad built me this computer and never sent the cd! I tried to do a system restore but I don't have access to my start menu. If you or anyone can direct me to another way to pull up my control panel w/o using the start menu it would be a great help!

Have you tried to boot into windows via safemode? If that works go into start/run msconfig under startup section select normal and click ok it will ask you to reboot do so and see if that works.
