i left the plastic cap on the processor which is why the pins didn't go in the holes. i tried to secure the processor to the board not realizing there was a plastic cap on the processor. as i pushed the locking device into place (i never got it locked) i noticed what felt like too much pressure. too much pressure because the plastic thing was still on, so i removed it.

I think that was understood, like I said unless you bent some pins on the (board) you should be fine.

computer booted fine. where can i check in the ds3 bios to see the cpu speed (as in mhz, just to make sure the thing is working properly). i have another problem though...i posted it in this forum in this section.
also, cpu temp showed 34 degrees celsius with arctic silver and arctic freezer 7 cooler. that was just after it had been on ~5 min. that seems high, no? |
