Screenshot Software?

Is there a free program for windows where when you press the print screen key it will allow you to save it directly to the desktop without having to open a graphics package and paste it in then save it?

i use ABBYY screenshot reader, you can even adjust just a portion you select that you want to save as an image

Sorry, I thought maybe it could be free as it came with ABBYY Fine Reader 8 Professional as an extra seperate installed program.

i use paint it is quick to do things in there i would just use that.
