Hi, having a bit of a problem with a friends ip35 mobo and quad core intel. When it is switched on it it reads the post code 8.7, which means "check CPU core voltage"
What is the problem? Is the quad getting too much power? Do I need to flash the bios of the MOBO to enable it to accept the quad processor? Thanks guys, Nick |

Sounds like the motherboard doesn't natively accept quad-cores. Check the BIOS revision if you are able to see the POST, then look it up online and see if there are any newer BIOS versions that support the processor.
