My uncle gave me and old Dell, that he has no use for anymore and isnt worth anything. The computer is SLOWWW. IT has a 20GB hard drive, 265GB of 133 RAM and loads of viruses. I was thinking of using this to try out linux for fun. If I reformat for a new OS, will it get rid of all the Viruses? Im dont know about viruses, but my guess is after a reformat, everything is gone (well, techniquly not) including viruses. Is this right?
