Default What to buy?

I've been looking to upgrade my AMD 3700+ recently and I've come to find out that its cheaper to switch motherboards and CPU's rather then try to find an old socket 939 chip anymore. Tigerdirect has a deal going on to get a combo of the AMD 5400+ X2 with the Asus M2N-E SLI motherboard for 209.00 or I could get the AMD 6400+ X2 with the Asus M2N-E SLI mobo or with MSI K9N4 SLI-F mobo. I'm leaning towards spending more money and going ahead and getting the 6400 chip since its only about 60 dollars more. My real question is which of these motherboards are better and is it worth spending the money on the 6400 chip with these rather cheap mobo's. I know they are low end mobo's but I can't afford a lot and am trying to get the best bang for my buck. I have read some issues with heating and the 6400 chip on the MSI board, just wondering if anyone else had some problems or any inputs?

for 209 dollars find a cpu and mobo that are as good as the ones he posted lol... check tomshardware's charts, they have a price/performance list, amd is blowing the hell out of intel on that list

oh and if you get the 6400, the msi isnt as good as the asus i would think, i know msi has issues

Sometimes scientists make things alot harder than they need to. All they've gotta do is put a big spring on the ground where they think it's gonna land, or send a mission to the moon to erect a sign that says "Welcome to Earth".
