I was working on my little sisters computer and it was infected with a lot of virus's and spyware. I removed virtumonde and now explorer.exe keeps wiping the background, icons, etc and reloading it. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this issue without reformatting the computer?

Try copying Explorer.exe from your Windows Installation Disk into C:\Windows directory.

Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem. One thing that I did notice is that every time explorer.exe restarts the background changes from a picture to the restore your active desktop screen. When I go to the web tab in backgrounds it doesn't let me delete the settings. Is there another way to get rid of that message??
