Default Going from Vista back to XP Help

Posted this in another subforum..but this one might be more active.

Back in February of this year I bought a new Compaq Presario Model Number SR2180NX - came preloaded with Vista. Tomorrow I want to go back to XP..because Vista is really driving me nuts as of late. I looked online for my model number at the Compaq site..and all they have is drivers from Vista.

Is there ANYWAY I can reformat and still be able to download my drivers for my Compaq computer..? I need to go back to XP!

Thanks for all of your responses!

umm cant you just download drivers manually when they need updating?
For example if you want to update your video driver do you really need compaq to tell you to do that? or can you just get it off the internet yourself

LONG LIVE XP

it might work if you go back to xp and use the drivers even though there for vista i have a compaq presairio 1200 and it had win 98 on it and i put xp on it and the drivers seemed to be all on there without me installing anything.

So is that like the only chance I have? To go back to XP and "hope" that the drivers from Compaq's website for Vista work with XP?

What kind of computer do you have? Did it come preinstalled with Vista - and then you went back to XP and they only had Vista drivers..so you downloaded them and they work fine on XP?
