Default e6750 temps

my e6750 has ac5 and an arctic freezer 7 pro fan. it idles around 31c and load is around 38c at most. i see people claiming 14c with the same setup, but i think they may be confusing the cpu temp with the core 0 or core 1 temps that speedfan shows, which is usually 18c-24c.

does 31-38 sound about right? i've only owned the processor for about a week, so i'm sure it will cool off a bit once the ac5 has set in.

Sounds great, to be honest. Those who advertise 14*c are either lucky, misrepresentin' (LYING!), or using speedfan, lol. (BTW core 1/0 are the temps that you are supposed to look at, also, as above, Speedfan can be grossly inaccurate, try PCwizard, everest, or something like that)

great! yeah it's pretty cool. it seems to be dropping even more now that the ac5 has had a little time to settle in.

well it's actually only been about 50 hours, so it's not near finished, but it was idling at about 32C and now the idle is pretty consistently about 30C. how much of a drop should i expect? if it's 2C every 50 hours then that thing will be like room temperature by the time i hit 200 hours.

When I first applied it, my Pentium D 'oven' was at 40*C. Now idling at a nice even 31*C after a full cure.

interesting. well i've been leaving it off for about 8 hours a day, and on the rest of the time. in about another week or so it should be settled in, so we'll see where it stands then. apparently it's pretty cool now, so more of a drop would be nice.

Just keep in mind, your CPU should be a bit cooler than mine since mine has different technology in it. If I can bring mine down to 31*C using AS5 and a nice cooler, you should be able to do low-to-mid 20's, but depending on room conditions, YMMV - estimates only.

i still don't understand speedfan. it says core 0 and core 1 are anywhere from 13c to 24c but the temp 1 reads 30c, and when i do pc wizard, it shows 30c as well, so i assume the speedfan temp 1 is the cpu temp, although i'm being told here that the core 0/1 is actually the temp?
