Default another computer build :)

alright i'm building a new comp. this is my plan for it

what i have:

-xfinity 600 watt PSU
-gigabyte p35-ds3r motherboard
-1 gig patriot 800mhz DDRAM
-bigwater cooling kit

what i'm getting:

-another gig of patriot ram
-intel core 2 quad
-surround sound card
-windows vista
-8800GT 512 MB 3d card

ok...now i have a number of questions FIRST one...

1. a hard drive...i'd like to keep the one i have now just for the fact that i can keep all the info i have on it. or...is there a way to transfer the data? cuz that'd be great. and how much of a performance upgrade would getting a new hard drive be? the one i got is an e-machines computer bought from best buy a couple years ago .

2. this is going to be a pretty heavy gaming PC...so how hard would it be to run 2 512 MB 3d cards? i mean...in comparison to one 640/728 MB card? i've looked at a few threads here dealing with 3d cards and have kinda narrowed it down.

3. say that i can keep my hard drive...how can i set up another hard drive to increase the space? the one i have now is 145 gigs...so getting another 145 would double it right? but as long as it's set up in a certain RAID format, correct?

sorry for so many questions but hopefully you guys can help me
