Exclamation What do i need???

I have a Dell Dimension 2300 with a basic sound card im geussing.

I have this speaker set:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5969246

Im geussing that the speakers are 2.1 ?????????

What sound card would you recommend that would work well with my setup??

Everything is balanced in the middle but for some reason my right speaker seems weak.(the speaker with the controls on it)

i already know that its nothing to do with the wiring. the left speaker and the sub woofer sounds really good but the right speaker i can barely hear...

What sound card would you recommend that would work well with my setup??

thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums!

The onboard sound card that comes in your mother board should do enough. I don't think is a sound card problem if only one speaker is not functioning. Maybe your right speaker is bad?

As far as I know, you don't need a special sound card to plug in a 2.1 sound system...

Hope that helped!

Unhappy

well the weird thing is is that when i move the balance control from my taskbar all the way to the left, only the left speaker plays. but when i move the slider all the way to the right, nothing plays.

do you think its the right speaker?

i just found out that i can slightly stick the end of one of my old computer speakers (not plugged all the way in) into the AUX on my new speakers and the sound comes back into my right speaker. but nothing plays in the old speaker.

and then after i do that i try to mess with the balance faders again and all the way to the left everything is balanced and all the way to the right nothing comes out of the speakers.

im so confused if you could help it would be greatly appreciated!! thanks alote
