Default Windows XP Service Pack 3

I just heard about this and was thinking of installing it but Im not sure yet.

Has anyone installed it? Any problems, anything I should know before dling it.

You know there's a SP1 out, that Vista will DL'd?

Sp1 = serice pack 1 ? And what about vista? I don't have vista.

Yes SP1 is for Vista. I have never used SP3 on XP yet, but you can always try it. They give you the option to uninstall it as well.

I got an update then, which had Service Pack 1 in the title, it was a .NET Framework thing though, I think...

Service packs are not limited solely to the actual OS. Several programs will have SP's released for them, .NET Framework is one, another common one is MS Office.

From what I understand, the SP3 for XP is a beta Release Candidate, it's not yet the official release. That won't come until sometime in the first half of 2008.

Yea the sp3 is a release canidate i have had it for a week or so seems to work fien no problem at all yet with it...
