Default is there a program to just emute linux programs?

is their a program to emulate only linux programs the whole system like wine does to windows?

I think so... but don't remember... google it

you can also use a virtual machine, which is always better than using an emulator.

try virtual box

does it require you to have a bootable device for the operating system to work for the guest?

kinda. you have a virtual comp is a os that runs on windows etc... so you install a software and the software makes a virtual partition on your hd. it is a file that is a certin size. then you install the os and you have a window that plays the linux
