Hi. Can anyone tell me why Internet explorer has problems and shuts down many times when displaying java or shockwave. I have windows vista and Internet Explorer 7. Is there a solution to this problem????

Uninstall both (java and shockwave)
and run IE, now when u reach the sites that asks for java or shockwave download it via your browser (activex), not like a normal download.
If that doesn't work i suggest repair, or use another browser. (FF or Opera)
as far as i can remember vista cannot remove IE or even repair it

Sounds like you need FireFox.... Internet Explorer has problems visiting a site that I host, I don't know why, when Opera, FF, and Safari jump right to it with no difficulty....

Hmm INTELCRAZY, it seems to me that I have to dissapoint you.
I tried to get on XP-lovers now with my IE; I can't ok, you said that IE 7 can't.
Since I have Opera-the newest opera, and Mozila FF ( old XD) I tried with both! And I couldn't open the site. Maybe wrong link?

IE is bloated and poorly written and the hardest browser to develop for because it is so bloated.

Active X is a high security risk, you are better off, and safer installing and running either firefox or opera.

Or SIlverlight. Internet Explorer is the best web browser ever.
Still has more popularity and votes than any other browser.
Search the net and find out.
Silverlight, it's a variant of IE made if you have many bugs with IE 7.
