Install problem, help plz

ok, so i just bought Empire Earth 3. when i go to install it i get this error:

"E:/setup.exe

Windows cannot acces the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permisssion to access the item."

im the administrator on m computer, so i dont understand why its not letting me. i tried calling their tech support, but talking to some guy in the middle east who knows less about computers than I, just seems stupid and pointless, and he was no help at all.

What OS are you running and what is the specs on your compy? Also please check to make sure that you are running a compatible/up-to-date video card driver set.

im running windows XP. and i have 2Gigs on RAM, my video card is a GeForce 7600.
the problem isnt that my comp cant handle it, rather that the cd jsut wont let me access the setup file. any way around this? and i already tried to compy the cd to the hard drive, wouldnt let me copy the setup file.
