Default another issue

ok my friends computer is an
gateway
pentium 4 2.6ghz
1gb ram
80gb hd
geforce 6800 agp 256mb

now his computer did wierd shit becuz his windows xp is currupted. So i got a new harddrive and i gave him my old 160gb hd. so i installed windows xp pro on it, and transfered his shit from his hd and it all works, one issue. His microphone when he talks plays back out the speakers. I left his old harddrive in and when u boot back into it the mic works fine. anybody know how to fix it.?

Could have something to do with Front Panel Microphone and Mono out. Try adjusting the sound settings via the driver you hopefully installed.
