Default Can't view hidden files

Hello all,
I am not be able to view hidden files on my computer (i am using XP Home)?
I'd recently make a full system scan using symantec antivirus and spybot search and destroy and it clear all the infected files?
IS there any solution?
Thanks in advance

If you don't know how to, open a folder, go to tools, then folder options, then click the view tab, then click "show hidden files and folders."

a firewall is like a gate. it keeps the bad people out and the dog in but it's not fool proof. but lets say you download and run an infected program. that will be like letting in a "friend." if it's infected you run that program you can get malware. that's like a friend raping your family and stealing your money.

sorry to wake up this thread but apparently, if your FOLDER OPTIONS is gone and no one touched it, it's virus, you're infected.
I won't trust symantec on this, but Brontok use to do this, so does many others.
try the following

Start --> Run type regedit.

In the registry browse to here:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]

set the DWORD "NoFolderOptions" to 0 or just delete it.

this should fix it. cheers
