Default labtop starts up and runs chdsk everytime

Ok my girl has a labtop
and she gets type of file system is NTFS, & 1 of ur disks needs 2 b checked 4 consistency, & CHDSK is verifying files
then said it fails reading or states files that are unreadable. It does this evertime she starts it up. she has windows xp service pack 2.
started happening a few days ago and this may be relevant or not but it is running real slow. i mean like 10 mins to load up after CHDSK runs

hmm you might want to check for viruses first if it all this just suddenly happen a few days ago. if it's really annoying, i think you can go in the BIOS and disable the disk check.

Yeah, definately check for Virus's using your current Anti Virus software, as well as that get Spybot Search&Destory and Adaware Free. If you still have the same problem after running all of them then let us know.

Hope this helps.
Hellbreather.
