I've had that set for almost a year now. I am still using the keyboard and have not even changed the batteries. I like it very much. The mouse I stopped using after I saw a slickdeal on a VX Revolution.
The keyboard is very good, it is pretty basic, but feels nice to type. The one complaint is that there are no LED's that indicate whether caps, number, or scroll lock is on or off. The mouse is good too but it never turns off, so it goes through batteries pretty quickly, about once a month. It's also pretty basic with no extra buttons or shaping. They both work off of a single receiver which you can plug into a usb port or ps/2. I don't know what the range is like since it's in my bedroom, but I know it is at least five feet.
