Default hackthissite.org

If hackthissite.org is a free legal training ground for hackers. Why dont the experts in the fbi hack hackthissite and find the hackers. Its also very hard, not to say i am a hacker.

It can be used to train people to look for holes in software or so called 'white hat' hackers. Just getting everyone in court for it would be messy.

It's kind of a gray area. You would be a better security admin if you know how to break in. I believe that most of that sites members have no intension on hacking any network but there own.

Well in the 'realistic missions' all you're ever doing is helping out a friend or a friends friend get back their website or things like that so its not teaching you to hack into the pentagon or anything. They are fun though! And it teach's you harmless little things like say if you go to any site and type

Code:
javascript:alert('hi')
In the address bar a pop up saying hi will come up.I used to know one that change the colour of google and fooled my friend saying I hacked google. That was awesome! He believed me for the whole class.Until on the next one he went onto google and found it was normal.
