Here's the lowdown:
I was having an issue with a game on my computer, at the suggestion of a friend, I went to Omega Drivers and downloaded a driver, which I installed. Upon restarting, my computer acted as though there was no driver installed; i.e. 800x600 resolution, crappy 98 style icons, pixelated, etc...So, I rolled back my driver, during the rollback process I used the uninstall link found in the start menu for the Omega Driver I had used. A message popped up basically stating that all related registry information for the software would be removed. After completing the uninstall and the rollback I once again restarted my computer. When the computer loaded my resolution was 800x600 resolution again and my settings were gone. It appears as though I uninstalled my Nvidia card because a "New Hardware" notification came up. I chose to automatically install the card; unfortunately, it asked me for my CD. Now for the Question: What do I need to get my card running again? Do I need the some specific software or do I need drivers? I can probably get the CD if that's the only option, but that will be quite a hassle. |
