Welcome, My 1st Post
![]() O.K what I am asking is why does it take a while for sometimes to Bootup Vista and also shutdown.. I find shutting down to be slower than the startup but still they both are slow. I have used applications to stop unwanted items and have removed applications but still the same issue, Have cleaned the registry and whatever else I did. To no luck. What else is there to make my PC start Faster? Also I find have Sidebar active can slow it down a bit! Thanks Sean

Hi, welcome to CF. Vista is taking a long time to boot and shutdown for you, maybe because your RAM is low(anything below 1GB is a problem), or maybe because your cache memory is low(2MB L2 cache recommended for medium pace boot and shutdown).
Please tell us what your cache memory and RAM is. Enjoy your stay with us!
