Default Mobo handle new videocard?

How can I tell if you mobo can handle a new Video card I went to the Gigabyte site and I couldnt find it.

I'm using a Gigabyte 965P-DS3.

Can it handle a VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 - graphics adapter GDDR4- Radeon HD 3870 - 512 MB

Yeah, it will support it... But, it is PCI-E 2.0, which is backwards compatible with a regular PCI-E x16. So, there might be a little bottleneck, but it won't be noticeable until you upgrade to a PCI-E 2.0 motherboard. Good Price : Performance ratio on that particular card.
