They usually drop in price when newer models have been out for a few weeks or so. Don't expect the price to drop until nVidia's next generation cards to come out.

The G92 8800GTS is better than the GTX but I'm not sure If it's cheaper. Last time I checked it was ~350 but I haven't checked the price on a GTX lately.

It's the chip used in the graphics cards.

Hope it does soon. Can't wait to get it and I have better things to spend €600 on.

Longer for the Brits it seems. Everywhere I have looked in UK they're still at about £300 ~$600. We get everything after though. I'd love one myself (two even), but no way am I paying +$1200 for them!...might as well get an entire system for that.
