I neglected to mention that this harddrive is from my old computer. It has windows 2000 on it. windows was having trouble booting up. it probably has a corrupted file and all it needs is for CHKDSK to repair the errors.
I took the hard drive out and placed it in a hard drive enclosure. I can see all my stuff. Can I run chkdsk on it without affected my other pc? Will the computer become confused when it sees an older version of windows on it? Thanks |
