Default Video conversion software and dual core processors

Are there any video converting programs out there that take advantage of a dual core processor? I just need to convert a few vids and want to do it as fast as possible... Thanks

If you run a quick search for video conversion you can find a number of freewares as well as some retail softwares available. Not having tried the one seen at the link here some sites now see "giveaway of the day" freeware /shareware" programs. http://lifehacker.com/software/downl...ows-218253.php

A regular freeware would be preferred like the free Prism video converter found at http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html Another one is the Stiok free and Pro(retail) program seen at http://www.stoik.com/products/svc/

If you use different search engines with terms like video conversion or video converter freewares as well as other combinations you will usually find several programs or articles on seeing that done. There's a large variety of conversion tools for various file types as well.
