When booting? When in the OS itself? Do you have more than one OS installed?

Hi, go to run and type cmd.
In the command prompt, type "systeminfo" without the quotes. That gives you the full system details.
It should say the OS's installed in your computer under "OS Version".
I'm not sure if this works, because I think that it only gives the OS in which you are currently working, but give it a try.
