Default How to creat a scratch disk?

How to creat a scratch disk? Sorry for all the Q's today, but I am just getting used to this computer stuff. TIA

Is this for photoshop? You can assign space for scratch disks under preferences > plug-ins > scratch disks. You don't need to use a dedicated disk for it but it's faster if it's on a different drive than photoshop and windows.
