Default Sata ?

When I first built my rig I wasnt exactly sure I knew what I was doing. When I built my second I noticed that on my first I had a SATA capable HD but connected it via IDE - If I no w go back and reconnect with SATA will it make a difference?

IDE and SATA are completely different connectors. Did you use an adapter card? You cannot connect SATA to IDE - they won't fit.
