Default dvd ram formatting problem

Hello everybody

I recently bought a dvd ram from panasonic just as my dvd recorder. When i put the dvd-ram i my dvd-recorder the message unformat appears. Now problem i think but when i go into the menu to format the dvd their comes up: Unable to format. This is a non recordable disc. I try different options to format with the pc(fat32, udf150, udf200 but non of these worked) With my pc i can write on my dvd-ram so that's not the problem. I am at my wits' end.

Thanks in Advance
