I lost a 4 page document in Microsoft Word; i have not created or typed anything in Microsoft Word since I lost this document. A message screen pop'd up saying that my document could not be saved, it then changed the file name to a letter/number combination and word froze up. I had to CTRL/ALT/Delete out of word and tried to find my document on my USB. However, it was completely deleted off my USB as well. When I opened Word again the document recovery pulled up my lost document. However when i clicked to open the file from document recovery, a message pop'd up stating that the file could not be opened or saved and they took it off document recovery.
Is there any other way to find this file and how can I prevent this from happening in the future? thank you |

I saved an image of what the screen looked like when Word Froze up, however this site will not let me include a picture in my post. The file name changed to "-WRL1902" when Word froze up. Does this help? THanks

I had a similar problem a few days ago. Some important files were gone. Was saved by Easy NTFS Recovery:
