Alright so my computer specs are in my sig and as you guys can see my processor is getting to be a bit outdated. (not that my video card is outdated, but I am starting to feel its age compared to the 8000 series now
)I am not exactly playing any intense video games right now (other than crysis, which I have given up hope on running decently on my system. Its actually pretty ridiculous, I can't even play it on low) so I am going to wait for a few months at least to upgrade my system a bit. I am planning to get a new CPU, Motherboard (so I won't be stuck with socket 939), probably ram (get some better stuff, maybe ddr3? to go with the new mobo), and hard drive (my old one is tiny.. only 80 gigs). My birthday is in late March, and my parents will probably pay for anything then if I choose to do it. My question, though, is when you guys would think the best time to upgrade all these components would be? I haven't done much research on the new technology coming out, but I have heard stuff about new processors such as the phenom. (?) Anyone wanna give me their opinion on where the market stands right now? I do understand that there is no perfect time to upgrade, and that I will always feel buyers remorse after some new shiny technology comes out a few months after I buy something, but I can deal with that.

Tomshardware had an article about it, only the ASUS boards made it through with the BIOS update. The rest, failed. (Epox, ect.)
